Many of you may still be anticipating Christmas, and perhaps receiving a new Pre or Pixi but, Palm already has its sights set on January. Yep, that's right January means CES for most gadget lovers and Palm won't disappoint. They'll be there and better yet, they'll be presenting on January 7th at 11 AM to be exact. It certainly won't be as mind blowing as last year's event but, it should still be a treat. So; what can we expect to see from Palm at CES 2010? For the most part, no one outside of Palm seems to know. While, Palm has gotten very good at keeping the leaks to a minimal. My predictions are set on some kind of a Verizon deal/device but, my guess is as good as any. So, what do you expect to see from Palm at this coming CES?

My hope is a Palm offers a upgrade that includes ability to backup everything (not just what is done today) on PRE via ITUNES or a Palm based cloud service with Security. I should be able to view my data anyhere in the world on a Pre or via a browser. I would like to have PRE encryption on phone and more security like 755P had (shading contacts and info if sensitive–only viewed with password) and making video a possibility similar to Treo 755P would be nice. Little things like a longer vibration when PRE in silence mode–really needed when a text or email has arrived. I know you can get these with preware or homebrew. I just think Palm should fix these little nuances us business guys are dealing with on PRE. Obviously the calender is lacking and needs fixed. Adding apps like Voice to text messaging that is a dollar on Iphone is key to longterm PRE success–then again Pre could just add all these business and smart apps in next 2.0 version–my hope some of these are addressed at CES. Heck just a roadmap of what they are working on would go a long way for me and PRE Sales. I know my Pre can do a ton more with all the horsepower on deck.
@Larry
Seems like there is a good chance there is info about enabling the gpu at CES this year.
